Christ Central was born in a June 1994 downtown prayer meeting when a man came asking for food. His request was met, more came, a great need was recognized, and the challenge was met. Twenty one years later, numerous locations are meeting basic needs and offering education, community development, medical care, recovery, and volunteer opportunities.
There are also CC Institute, offering free post-secondary education, CC Medical Group offering free medical care, CC Life Skills offering free GED assistance and construction and food industry training, CC Addiction Recovery offering rehabilitation in four South Carolina locations, and CC Community Development working to identify specific causes of poverty in specific communities and bring together churches, businesses, schools, and government to improve opportunity for individuals living there.
CC International has established two Mission Stations, Bangalore and Sri Lanka, and CC Prayer Group continuously offers intercessory prayer for the organization, its volunteers, its programs, and its clients.
